One of Glasgow’s oldest buildings in the lost Grahamston Village undergoes a facelift for the future.Located in the city’s busy Union Street, one of the last remaining structures from the ancient district.Now home to a 50-room hotel, when they cross the threshold of number 59 Union Street, visitors can discover a unique and often forgotten part of Glasgow’s vast and varied past.The Rennie Mackintosh Station Hotel – named after one of Glasgow’s most famous artists and architects – is one of only two buildings to have survived from the now buried Grahamston Village, a small residential and commercial area that was demolished and covered to make way for the building of Central Station.
